WASIL Clothing was established in 2015 (First collection launched December 2018) by Sabrina in the Bay Area.
WASIL’s primary objective is to create clothing (and visuals) with the intention of plus size/ fat people being able to “see themselves” in the clothing’s fit before purchasing. We aim to learn and grow continuously, and take into account the ways we can do so. WASIL attempts to look at clothing production through a lens of "slow fashion" as much as possible to reduce ecological damage. We source as much materials as possible from secondhand sources. If not secondhand, we prioritize shopping with small family owned businesses in the greater Bay Area before big box/chain stores.
WASIL Clothing is made at our home studio in the greater Sacramento area, California. Will be returning to the Bay Area in the future as this is a temporary relocation.
Sabrina is responsible for designing the clothing, fulfilling orders, organizing & photographing shoots, & leads all branding/creative direction for WASIL.
Johany helps make orders from time to time. She is responsible for cutting, sewing, preparing for packaging, & packaging orders alongside Sabrina. As the brand grows, so will her presence in production!
Dre models & designs in collaboration with Sabrina "masc-wear" with emphasis on creating masculine silhouettes for people with wide hips and/or curves. Mascwear first official launch AW 2022.
All clothing is made-to-order, please see each product for order fulfillment timelines and allow an additional 3-5 business days for shipping domestically, and 7-14 internationally.
